What is Santa Semana?

Santa Semana (or Holy Week) is the name for Easter Week in Spain. This is a culturally and religiously important event, celebrated across Spain with processions that depict "The Passion of the Christ". The Easter period is an important traditional period of Fiesta in Moraira, Spain, and includes many traditional processions and festivities around Easter.

Sunday 24 March (Palm Sunday)
Blessing of Ramos in Moraira and Teulada.

Tuesday 26th of March - Holy Tuesday

7 p.m. Holy Mass (after Mass, confessions until 8.30pm).
22.00 h. Penitential Celebration with the assistance of priests.

Wednesday 27th of March - Holy Wednesday

7 p.m. Holy Mass (after Mass, confessions until 8.30pm).

Thursday 28 March (Holy Thursday)

5 p.m. Holy Mass.
7.30pm. Solemn Mass at the Lord's Dinner. At the end, reserve of the Blessed One at the Monument.
22.00 h. Holy Hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Friday 29 March (Good Friday)

8.30pm. Via Crucis through the streets of the village. Church open all day long.
6.30pm. The liturgical Offices of the Passion and Death of the Lord.
8 p.m. Procession of the Holy Burial.

Sunday 31 March (Easter Sunday)

8.30pm. Procession of the Holy Encounter and solemn Mass of Easter.

Monday, 1 April - Easter Monday

11:00. Holy Mass (Capilla de las Hermanas Franciscanes).

He's a two-act opera. The 2nd divided into two frames. Felice Romani's libretto based on the tragedy Norma, ou L'infanticide by Alexandre Soumet.
