Moraira-Teulada Moors & Christians 2025

When we say "Moors & Christians in Moraira" you think: spectacular night-time landing on the beach of l'Ampolla, flower offerings, firing of the guns, and a magnificent Sunday Gala Procession. The Moraira/Teulada fiesta provides all this and more.

2025 Moors & Christian Fiesta programme

FRIDAY 6 June

19:30 Inauguration of the Medieval Andalusian Market by members of the Central Board of Moors and Christians and municipal authorities.
22:00 FESTIVITIES PROCLAIMING by the founders of the festival in the Auditorium “Tina Bru” of the Espai La Senieta de Moraira.

SATURDAY 7 JUNE
13:00 GATHERING of all the Moorish and Christian ranks in the Senillar Park to where the fellowship meal is prepared, and music is played by the Charanga brass band
21:00 Collection of the flag bearers and flag bearers 2025 in each cabila

21:30   Gathering of all the filaes in the Forti and parade to the esplanade of the Castle

22:00   Presentation of banners on the esplanade of the Castle. Then Discomóvil with DJ Àlex Femenia.

SUNDAY 8 JUNE

19:00 INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL at Moraira Castle with Moonshine Duo, Babylon, Alex Ball-Elvis Tribute, Tender Caves, Strickland, DC3 and La Experience. 

09:30   Inaugration of the Andalusian Medieval Market

20:30 h: Proclamation of Festivities in the Tina Bru Hall of the Espai La Senieta of Moraira - followed by awards ceremony of the XXIII Drawing Contest

MONDAY 9 June

20:00   British Choir Concert in the parish Church of Moraira

WEDNESDAY 11 June

19:30 Concert by the Colla el Falçó, Association of Dolçainers and Tabaleters of Teulada at c/ Doctor Calatayud

FRIDAY 13 June

13:00   Gathering of the Christian Band in the Fortí and Bando Moro in the pergola of Paseo del Senillar, and a parade accompanied by brass bands

13:20 Departure of the trabucadores to walk through the streets of Moraira.

14:00   Firing of arquebusiers on the Castle Esplande

18:30   Offering of flowers in honor of the Santísimo Cristo de Moraira in the Ermita del Castillo, before an interpretation of the march 'Ofrena al Castell' is performed by all the bands

23:00   Moorish Conquest on La Ampolla Beach, then the Moorish Embassy.

00:00 Night of captaincies with Charanga

SATURDAY 14 June

08:30   Awakening with arquebuses and charanga

11:00   Gathering of all the rows in the Forti and parade with pennants

12:00   Mass in the Moraira parish Church and a parade to the Castle Esplanade

13:00   Firing from an arquebus on the Castle Esplanade and an informal parade of filaes

19:30   Parade of Moors and Christians to the beach

20:00   Christian Reconquest on the beach of La Ampolla. Then assault on Moraira Castle by the Christian Side followed by the Christian Embassy and Reconquest of the Castle

00:00   Retreat from Fortí.

00:30 Then Night of Cabiles (Worship) and live music by the NEXUS orchestra on Avenida del Portet. There will be bar service by the CAPTAINS 2026, Filá Huestes del Cid and Filá Marsa Mudhayra.

SUNDAY 15 June

08:30   Awakening with arquebuses & brass band

12:00   Concentration of the Christian faction in the pergola of Paseo del Senillar and the Moorish faction in the Fortí, followed by parade accompanied by brass bands

12:20 Departure of the trabucadores to walk through the streets of Moraira.
12:45 Firing of harquebucería in the esplanade of the Castle.

19:00   Music bands enter from the Castle to the Fortí

20:00 Grand Gala Parade of the Moorish and Christian Bands, followed by fireworks display.
