Family Activities in Moraira

Beach Games and Playground Time at L’Ampolla

For an easy day close to town, L’Ampolla Beach combines golden sand with playgrounds and a seafront promenade. Bring buckets and spades, organise a sandcastle challenge or alternate beach time with a visit to the play area.

Toilets, foot washes and nearby places to eat make this a practical starting point for families. Follow beach flags and check which seasonal services are operating when you visit.

Nature Spotting at Marjal del Senillar

Beside L’Ampolla, Marjal del Senillar is a protected coastal wetland that offers a different perspective on Moraira’s shoreline.

Turn a short stop into a nature challenge: look for birds, listen for different sounds and compare the plants growing around the wetland with those beside the beach. Stay on public paths and observe wildlife without feeding or disturbing it.

Mini Golf and Play at Brevis

Brevis Moraira combines mini golf, children’s play facilities and somewhere to eat. It is an option for an afternoon away from the sand or a family outing built around dinner.

Check current play attractions, charges and opening arrangements before visiting.

Nearby Family Outings

Follow the Marco Topo Treasure Hunt in Teulada

One of the more unusual local options is Marco Topo’s Teulada adventure. Families use a mobile phone and a game map to solve challenges around historic landmarks.

Although the activity is called “Teulada Moraira”, the route explores inland Teulada, rather than Moraira’s seafront. The organiser says maps and stickers are available free through local tourism, with downloadable materials also offered online. Check the game’s language options before starting.

Explore the Benissa Ecological Walk

The Benissa Ecological Walk offers coastal scenery and information panels about local nature and history. Choose a short section rather than setting out to complete the whole route with young children.

Make it a walking adventure by looking for different leaves, coastal birds and changing colours in the water. Check the chosen section for steps and uneven ground if you are bringing a pushchair.

Venture Underground at Cueva de las Calaveras

In Benidoleig, the Cueva de las Calaveras provides a change from beach activities, with an underground setting and a history stretching back to prehistoric times.

This is an outing to consider for children fascinated by caves and exploration. Check current admission, opening times and access arrangements, particularly if travelling with a pushchair or someone with reduced mobility.

Bigger Family Days Out

Meet the Dinosaurs at DinoPark Algar

DinoPark Algar, near Callosa d’en Sarrià, brings together moving and static dinosaur models in a landscape filled with cacti. Attractions include a 3D cinema and a palaeontological playground.

It is a fuller excursion from Moraira, suited to planning as the main activity of the day. Check seasonal opening and remember that dinosaur sounds and moving models may feel intense for very young children.

Take to the Trees at Tirolinas Go!

For children who enjoy climbing and physical challenges, Tirolinas Go! in La Nucía offers treetop courses, suspended bridges and zip lines.

The operator currently lists a minimum age of five and height of 1.10 metres for its family circuit. Its sports circuit has higher requirements. Check these before booking, and bring closed, securely fastened shoes.

Choosing Your Family Outing

For a simple morning, combine L’Ampolla with playground time and nature spotting. Choose Teulada’s treasure hunt or Benissa’s coastal walk for a nearby adventure, and reserve a separate day for dinosaurs or treetop challenges.
