Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir

The Choir

The choir was formed in April 2007 by Mike Evans who, after being in the Thanet Male Voice Choir and the Huntingdon Male Voice Choir in the UK, retired to the Costa Blanca and was unable to find a Male Voice Choir to join.

The Choir started with only about a dozen members and Heather Butcher as Musical Director and Accompanist. Now, the Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir is the only expatriate choir of this type on the coast and they have about 50 members.

Although a few members read music, the majority do not, and that's why they have a number of methods to help learn the music including a package called Noteworthy which can be used to play any part over and over again.

Concerts & Rehearsal

The Choir has about 5 concerts a year and rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm in the back room of the Bar Mediterraneo in Teulada (30 mins north of Benidorm). The summer break is in July and August.

New members are always welcome. All that's necessary is that you like singing and can sing mainly in English.
