Planning where to park in Moraira can make a town visit or beach day much easier. This guide covers Les Sorts, regulated street parking, beach parking and the changes to expect during Friday’s market. Whether you’re heading to El Portet, browsing the shops or visiting the castle, check the signs where you park and choose a space suited to the length of your visit.

For a visit combining shops, restaurants and the waterfront, Les Sorts public car park is a useful starting point. It has been identified in municipal parking announcements as a free alternative to regulated street parking. Check the entrance signs for current arrangements and temporary restrictions.
Our advice is to park once and explore on foot, rather than move the car between town-centre stops. For a short errand, a marked street space may be more convenient; for a longer outing, check the permitted stay before leaving your vehicle.

Moraira has ORA regulated parking, commonly called zona azul or blue-zone parking.
The operator currently publishes these general visitor tariffs:
These apply to the operator’s blue-zone spaces, rather than every car park in Moraira.
Check the nearby sign or parking meter for charging hours, payment instructions and the maximum stay. Seasonal arrangements can change, so follow the information displayed at your chosen space.
For current tariffs and contact details, visit ORA Teulada-Moraira.
The Moraira Friday Market uses Les Sorts, reducing the space available for parking.
Local Police guidance states that parking is prohibited in the marked market area on Fridays. Check restrictions carefully if leaving your car there on Thursday evening, as well as on market morning.
Allow extra time, expect to walk from another permitted space and avoid assuming that the usual car-park layout will be available.
L’Ampolla Beach sits beside Moraira Castle in the town centre, making it easy to combine a beach visit with lunch or a waterfront walk.
For a longer beach day, choose parking that permits the full length of your visit. A two-hour blue-zone space may suit a quick stop, but check the limit before settling down on the sand.
For El Portet Beach, an additional option is Parking Portet, a privately operated paid car park at Camí de la Viuda, 2.
The operator places it approximately 280 metres from the beach and offers online reservations. Prices vary by season, so check the Parking Portet website for your visit date. Its charges are separate from town-centre ORA tariffs.
Les Platgetes has parking beside its promenade and gardens. Check the signs on arrival for any charges or restrictions.
Check charging hours, maximum stays and temporary event notices. Keep entrances and pedestrian routes clear, and use reserved accessible bays only with the required permit.
For Cala del Moraig in Benitachell, a separate seasonal parking system applies. Read our Cala del Moraig visitor guide before travelling.
