Gourmet Vineyard and Harvest Celebration at Auditori Teulada Moraira

DOLIA is a gastronomic and wine tasting event which aims to preserve the territory and the landscape and with the main object of promoting the "Muscatel of Alexandria" grapes which are cultivated in this region and which have been, for centuries, the main income and farming produce of this area. This produce has also a wealth of tradition brought down over the centuries from our ancestors.

DOLIA Programme 2017:

SATURDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER 2017

Dolia is an encounter of gastronomy and wine tourism striving to perpetuate the territory and the countryside through the “Moscatel de Alejandría” grape. For centuries the area’s main agricultural activity has been the “uva Moscatel de Alejandría”, the economy was based on the grape and it is the resource of a very rich tradition, reaching back to ancient times. Dolia opens the view to our countryside from the Auditorio Teulada Moraira, an enclave, where architecture and scenery converge in a sinuous dialogue with nature and the colour and savour of the Maditerranean. Dolia also focuses on local products, things the larder of the twenty-first century offers, the seabed. This edition of Dolia continues to propagate local quality products an example of our rich gastronomy. This year’s guest are the citrus fruits of the Comunidad Valenciana (IGP). They will be in perfect harmony with the grape Moscatel de Alejandría from Teulada.

SHOW COOKING with the chefs, Alberto Ferruz, restaurant Bon Amb, Xàbia. Two Michelin stars and two “Soles” from the Repsol guide.
And Kiko Moya, restaurant l’Escaleta, Cocentaina. Two Michelin stars and three “Soles” from the Repsol guide.
The two of them represent the essence of a chef feeling obliged to represent his region, evolving a product until it transforms into a meal.
The DOLIA CHEFS 2017 will elaborate various culinary creations exclusively for this seventh edition of the fair, using the variety the “Moscatel de Alejandría de Teulada” grape offers and always in harmony with the gastronomy of the interior and coastal regions.

THE ART OF MIXING COCKTAILS
The transformation of liquid gastronomy into solid gastronomy.

Ivan Talens, known as the best bartender of the Comunidad Valenciana, will present three classic cocktails and will change their texture from liquid to solid. He will offer a new kind of tecno-emotional experience. While mixing cocktails we will experience something unusual and unexpected, he will set new benchmarks. A fusion between liquid and solid gastronomy, while using genetics of flavour and different textures.

EXHIBITION HALL
TERRITORY OF FLAVOUR AND COLOUR
 
INAUGURATION of the plastic art exhibition by the team of d’Empaperart. A central element with geometrical volume representing every single element of the principles of gastronomy which will be presented during Dolia, clasped by the tapes which aspire from the gastro-elements towards the ground, very similar to roots, evoking the essence, main ingredient of this year’s Dolia. Everything is a game of colours identical with natural elements: air, earth and sea (ATM).

Get to know more about agricultural products of the Comunidad Valenciana and visit our interactive booth where you virtually taste our products and get information about the region’s gastronomy.
 

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:  GARDEN AT THE SEASIDE
DOLIA KIDS | 19:30h

The Auditorio Teulada Moraira + The Oceanogràfic of Valencia for ecology and sustainability

The Oceanogràfic of Valencia travels to Dolia and together with the Auditorio Teulada Moraira they present:
A workshop for kids called recycling the sea ground – a second life for disposables.
During the workshop the kids are taught Creative Recycling and will learn that disposables can have a second life. They will get plastic and will use their imagination and creativity to create things and to transform the garbage into a treasure. An alert to pay attention to trash contaminating our sea.

Show Cooking: The sea, a pantry still to discover.
For cooking lovers, Maria Querol, participant of Master Chef Junior 3, will present a workshop full of surprises edible and originating from the sea. Together with Manuel Toharia, scientific propagator, she will use gastronomy to talk about the importance of preserving our sea ground and use it as a source of life. They will work with a fascinating animal, a great ally of the human being: the jellyfish.

TERRITORY OF GASTRONOMY
Products and handicraft, the stars of the gastronomy
Uniting flavours: homemade citrus beer and cured food.
Presented by the producers of 69 brosses beer and Alma Marina, de Toni Pérez Marcos, cured food.

UNITING GASTRONOMY, WINE AND JAZZ MUSIC
The participants will be able to unite the best of BODEGA COOPERATIVA SAN VICENTE FERRER TEULADA and of D.O. VINOS ALICANTE with the gastronomy of Restaurant Toni Cantó, “Caña y Tapa”, which they bring to the gardens of the Auditorio Teulada Moraira.

DOLIA ENDS WITH
A PRESENTATION AND TASTING of a choice of surprises for the palate, only available during Dolia:

FINANCIER OF RAISINS, WITH A TOUCH OF CITRUS FRUIT ICE-CREAM, REFRAMED WITH MUSCATEL. Presented by the pastry chef José Montejano

DOLIA COCKTAIL: LA MARINA WATER, where Muscatel and citrus fruits remind us of the beginning of cocktail elaboration with the well-known “Ponches”. A cocktail to share with friends with a strong taste of local ingredients. Presented by our bartender Ivan Talens
